In Germany they have a tradition where students and teachers design paper cones called Kindercones to welcome incoming kindergarten students. The purpose of the Kindercone tradition is to help the kindergartens feel welcomed and special.
To create the Kinder cone, you first have to get a piece of poster paper and cut it out and make it look like a softball field. Next, fold the paper into a cone shape, and tape it together, and then you can start designing your cone. When you finish with the design and you have added all of your decorations, put glue on the inner top part of the cone and put the tissue on the glue and start putting gifts into it. After your done putting gifts in your cone, bring the tissue paper together at the top and make a bow with a piece of ribbon and get the name of one of the kindergarten student's and make a tag with your name on one side and the student's name on the other side.
After you finish making the Kindercone, you visit the student in his or her classroom and present the Kindercone. This kindercone will show them you are welcoming them to your school. I presented my Kindercone to Noah and it made him smile!
