For this lab we had write down with the soul of wine before we do things for example, what color is the shell is it rough and smooth. After that we has to wear the seashell is salt water and put the other one in vinegar and leave it in the beakers for 30 minutes, we had to check and see how he was doing after 15 minutes to see if it was making a chemical reaction. For the 30 minutes having the shells be in the seawater and vinegar we had to make another observation and see what this show right now did they change color is more smooth the get chip in it. After that we had to have books on top of the shell to see how many books the shell can carry. The first seashell that we tested was shell C and could it hold up to 7 books and the second seashell that we tested was shell E and it could hold up to 14 books.

When you pup all lot of water you will it starts to make a sink hole.
We did a dirt test called a ribbon test it was to see if we added water to it and squeeze it in my hands to see if it would stay in the ball shape or turn into a different shape.
Water Test
Temperature - when you check the temp in the water it is showing you how much oxygen is in the water. - plants and animals are used to a temp so if it changes then they can die. - river water is at a higher temp because they hardly have an shade. Salinity Procedure - the salinity procedure tells you how much salt is in water. - it can show you how much the salt can affect the plant and animal life. - things that live in freshwater are used to being in water with very low salt. Dissolved Oxygen - oxygen is important to people and land animal it helps us stay alive. - cold water can hold more dissolved oxygen than hot water. -dissolved oxygen levels that are lower than 3 ppm can be dangerous for most of the aquatic organisms. Testing for Nitrate - plants and animals needs nitrate to grow it is a type of nutrients. - dead plants and animals waste naturally releases nitrate into the aquatic system. - high levels of nitrate can lead to overgrowth of plant. Testing for Turbidity - turbidity is the measure of the clarity of water. - turbidity water is made of things such as clay and silt. - turbid water can be a result of urban runoff and other things.
