I have redesigned the 9th grade commons to be a broad game theme. One half of the space would be Monopoly and the other half would be Sorry. The purpose for these themes are to let students have a hangout, talk to friends, do class work, and at lunch or after school students can play life size Monopoly and Sorry. There will be 20 chairs, 10 will be game piece chairs, the other 10 will be chairs with wheels on them. Each side will have a rug that matches the theme; the Monopoly rug will start at the corner of the hallway and end by classroom 134, and the Sorry rug will start from by the open doors and end by classroom 128. Right next to the Monopoly rug there will be 2 vending machines. We will have 10 triangle tables for students to work at, also right by the monopoly rug there will be a domino couch. My design for the 9th grade commons is the best because, its a place where students can have fun and do work for class, also play the broad games. My classmate and I were talking about what our favortie broad games were and that that gave me the idea of do the broad game theme. My peers suggested that I add more things in my design, so I decided that I should add more tables to fill in the blank spaces.
